Tucked into the forests near Yellowstone National Park (see map), the Island Park Sustainable Fire Community (IPSFC) is a collaborative group of concerned citizens and representatives from the private sector, non-profit organizations and local, state and federal agencies. IPSFC is working diligently to help balance the scales of the wildland urban interface and fire adapted communities. Its members are committed to developing a strong social, ecological and sustainable forest community.
IPSFC is part of both the Fire Learning Network and the Fire Adapted Communities Learning Network (FAC Net).
