Kori Blankship's four-part blog series for the Joint Fire Science Project (online FireScience.gov) addresses questions, applications and developments in the LANDFIRE National program. The first in this series answered questions about the usefulness of LANDFIRE products for large-landscape projects. The second looked at the ways people use LANDFIRE tools, data and products. In this third offering, Kori offers a glimpse of what's on deck for 2013. Many of LANDFIRE’s 20-plus spatial data layers have been improved or updated.
