This document provides a glimpse at some mid- to large-scale marine habitat restoration projects funded through the Amercan Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 though the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration. In particular, it highlights nine projects in the United States and U.S. Virgin Islands that touch on a variety of habitats - marshes, river and streams, seagrass meadows, poyater and coral reefs. This document highlights the need for restoration and describes the impotance behind Recovery Act funding for coastal habitat restoration and TNC's 10+ year partnership with NOAA's Restoration Center.
