Conservancy staff participate in a full range of fire management activities, from planning, to prescribed fire, suppression operations and monitoring fire effects. The Manual serves as the Conservancy's guiding document on all aspects of wildland fire management. It is divided into six key sections: introduction, administration and insurance, personnel, requirements and guidelines, planning, and safety. The Manual is intended solely for the use of Conservancy staff and volunteers involved in fire management operations on behalf of the Conservancy. No other persons or organizations should rely on the processes and documents found herein. Other individuals and organizations conducting fire management operations should perform independent research and consult their own legal and insurance counsel regarding the activities described herein.
