The Sand Plains Partnership is seeking to
expand collaboration on this demonstration landscape to accelerate the restoration of fire-adapted ecosystems in north-central
Minnesota. Core partners—the Chippewa National Forest, Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe Reservation and The Nature Conservancy—are engaging diverse stakeholders, including state
agencies, local NGOs, recreational interest groups, and forest
products industry to lay the groundwork for this restoration work.
