The Nature Conservancy's mission requires that we work to protect and restore forests around the world. Our science is used to focus scarce resources on protecting forests that are still providing their full range of ecosystem services, economic to ecological, and to restore forests that will provide the biggest return on investment. Our advocacy work aims to reverse the trend of forest loss, use forests to help mitigate and adapt to climate change, encourage the harvest of wood and other materials from forests in ways that don't damage the forest in the process.
The Nature Conservancy's forest conservation strategies, science, and work being done on the ground aim to protect, manage and restore forests around the world.
