The Nature Conservancy’s Global Water Summit took place in Chicago this November, bringing together more than 400 attendees representing over 120 institutions, businesses and organizations. Discussion focused on key strategies such as: mitigating the impact of hydropower development on the last free-flowing rivers, tackling the land-water interface, scaling up source water protection schemes and water funds, and leveraging water markets. Many of the discussions and insights will flow back into the practices the Conservancy is creating around these topics.
