Latest On The Conservation Gateway

A well-managed and operational Conservation Gateway is in our future! Marketing, Conservation, and Science have partnered on a plan to rebuild the Gateway into the organization’s enterprise content management system (AEM), with a planned launch of a minimal viable product in early FY26. If you’re interested in learning more about the project, reach out to megan.sheehan@tnc.org for more info!

Here are some resources for Nevada wetlands:

Level 2 Draft Wetland Rapid Assessment Protocol for Nevada: In collaboration with Desert Research Institute and the Nevada Division of Natural Heritage (NDNH), The Nature Conservancy drafted and tested a Level 2 Rapid Assessment Protocol for Nevada wetlands. Funding for this work was provided by the US Environmental Protection Agency and The Nature Conservancy. The protocol is available at heritage.nv.gov/wetlands and we would love feedback on how it works for Nevada wetlands. Please send comments to Laurel Saito or Kristin Szabo

Wetland Map of Nevada: The Desert Research Institute compiled existing Nevada geospatial and remote sensing data into a statewide map of wetlands and also developed a wetland analysis tool to create reports of specific wetlands using wetland map data. See https://www.dri.edu/project/wetland-mapnv/.

More information on Nevada wetlands is available at the Nevada DIvision of Natural Heritage.
