A well-managed and operational Conservation Gateway is in our future! Marketing, Conservation, and Science have partnered on a plan to rebuild the Gateway into the organization’s enterprise content management system (AEM), with a planned launch of a minimal viable product in early FY26. Grasslands are the least protected habitat type in Oregon and around the world. At both the Zumwalt Prairie and Willamette Valley, we are working to change that. From researching the impacts of cattle grazing on the grassland food web at Zumwalt to restoring fire through controlled burning, The Nature Conservancy is pioneering techniques for restoring Oregon’s native grasslands, bunchgrass prairie and oak savanna.
