Engaging Everyone
Healthy sagebrush-steppe benefits everyone, supporting ranching livelihoods and recreation, clean air and water, biodiversity and wildlife. TNC works with a diverse set of stakeholders to identify land management issues, create solutions and foster wide-spread adoption.
TNC works with the SageSHARE partnership to improve sagebrush steppe land management. Central to this partnership is the Threat-based Land Management approach, which helps stakeholders recognize and prioritize the largest threats to healthy ecosystem function. To support this effort, we have created a detailed Manager's Guide and a condensed Field Guide to help practitioners understand and use the approach.
TNC also contributes to collaborative and community-based approaches to natural resources management on diverse issues, including wildfire management and sage-grouse conservation on private lands. Some of our latest Collaborative Conservation work is highlighted to the right. For a complete list of all our work on the Gateway, go to our resources page.
